I put this mugshot up as my default userpic after yet another person friended me and there's absolutely no way to know who the heck they are. I figure having this userpic should be enough for anyone that knows me to figure it out, and I encourage anyone who has a cryptic user profile to do the same. I do hate having to email people and say "Hi, new friend! Who the hell are you?"

Aw come on, it'll be good practice. Sooner or later you might be having to email people to say "Hi, old friend! Who the hell are you?"

I like it. You do have a somewhat common name, especially since there's a guy on NPR who does commentary (and has written a couple-three mystery novels) named John Ridley. He's a big black dude from L.A. I guess you could add a note to your cryptic user profile "probably not the John Ridley you're looking for". Heh. That's kind of funny.

Anyway, it's a cute pic, and Andy's right, we all need to see pics of each other (not to mention of our own selves), because it won't be long before we don't recognize anyone at all.
