Book 2 of Riverworld.

Wow. In the words of Daggett, "That's.....ALMOST.....interesting."

Seriously, this book was almost entirely without a point. I guess the entire series has to be taken together as one big story, but I'm not interested enough to bother. Done.

Book 1 is amazing, but the books do get more disjointed as the series progresses. Kind of like Dune.

It's an absolutely fascinating premise, and would be a great playground for historical character interaction. He does that in book one, and for a couple of chapters in book 2, then it all just goes to hell.
