Dug/cut most of the roots. One or two still hanging on but were down about 20 inches in the ground, I just decided I could snap those when pulling.

Unfortunately, my "technique" results in a wrecked pruning saw. I bought a brand new pruning saw about 3 weeks ago. It's dull as hell now thanks to hitting rocks embedded among the roots.

The last time I was cutting out roots, I used the chainsaw (didn't have anything else). Now I need to replace the chain...

Yeah, I decided I'd rather dull a pruning saw than wreck a chain. I can sharpen the pruning saw, I just need to buy the right file.
