6/6/06 in Hell

Some friends at work took a short trip to Hell today for the 6/6/06 party and borrowed my camera. I didn't go myself.

It's exactly what you'd expect. A thousand or two people show up, the two stores in town make money selling hamburgers, beer and ice cream, motorcycles and hearses, and everyone that channel 2 interviewed, including the freaks, said they were there to see the freaks.

And of course, the obligatory handful of people with no sense of humor holding badly-spelled signs and trying to preach over the sound of 200 Harleys.

Heh heh, reminds of the scene in Contact with Jody Foster heading past all the crazies who've flocked to Arecibo.

I did like the timing for the opening of the movie The Omen today, and the advertising of such.

I expect to be in Hell around 6PM. I've never been to Hell before. It's good to get some advance warning like this so I know what to expect!

Supposedly they have kids activities from 4PM to 9PM. And if you want to wait in a line about 500 people long you can get ice cream for 66 cents.
