Bloodsuckers.
Jul. 3rd, 2010 03:51 pmDid a long-overdue pruning back in the pond today - I removed about 2/3 of the water grass growing in it. The stuff had really gone nuts and there was a thick matt of roots all along the bottom.
When I got out, I found I had brought along about 100 or so passengers. They're cute and all, but after getting my camera they had a date with a container of salt and a hose.

When I think leeches, I normally think of the ones we saw in Canada; they were a foot long and swam across the lakes. We'd see them while in the boat.
