I suppose if we can redefine torture so that we're not torturing anymore, why not redefine victory as well? Before Nov, 2008, I suppose.

They tried that. Bush had a "Mission Accomplished" speech years ago, when apparently the mission was to get Saddam out of power. Now the mission seems to be to install a so-called democratic government that is on our side, which may be an oxymoron, in Iraq. Or at least, mutually exclusive. The government can be democratic, or pro-American, but it's unlikely to be both any time soon. It's a problem.
