johnridleyThey chipsealed the road in front of work. My normal route puts me on that road for 2 miles. Chipseal on a residential street ain't so bad because you can ride in the tire track, which within an hour or two gets packed down pretty smoothly. But on Baker Rd, it's pretty necessary to ride on the shoulder, and the shoulder after chipsealing is worse than riding gravel road.
And the dust is so bad that sometimes I can barely see through the tears. Nothing like rock dust in your eyes.
I think I'm going to be finding an alternate route for a while. Oh well, it's nice weather to go an extra mile or two on the way home. On the way in to work at 5:30 AM the traffic is low enough that I can ride the tire track 90% of the way so it's not bad.
