Storm Front by Jim Butcher. Book 1 of the Dresden Files series

Fun and relatively short (having been lately used to 1200 page Commonwealth books)

Already started book 2, the first 5 are loaded on the reader. I see no reason to believe I won't read them all.

The weekend we were introduced to Jim Butcher, I read the first 4 Harry Dresden books that weekend... then came home and bought the next 2 or 3 at the used bookstore. Mike has been listening to them in audiobook and loves them, too. They're all good fun and easy reads.

Alas, my reading speed isn't that good. Nor do I have entire weekends to just read. I'm usually lucky to get 30 minutes a day to read, and that's only on weekends and only if I'm pretty caught up on things (or sick).

Even if I took an entire afternoon to read, I'd probably only get through a short book. I just can't read that fast though I'm working on it.

About 6 hours is my lower limit for "easy read" books like this (200 pages or so) if I have absolutely uninterrupted, zero-distraction time. Most people I know read about 2 to 4 times faster than me, some much faster than that.
