Movie room progress

I've thrown down a bunch of old carpet pieces that we've saved from various things, at MW's suggestion at Confusion I'm going to put indoor/outdoor carpeting on the walls and ceiling as a sound deadening measure, but I'm not going to do that until the room is basically functional with all the fixtures in place.
It's cold, as is the rest of the basement. I have heating to it but it's not going to be proper until the cold air return is in place, and that requires drywall work that I can't do now due to space constraints.
There's no furniture, so there are a couple of folding lawn chaise chairs in it.
Doesn't sound too cozy, but even so, we've watched Young Frankenstein and last night was Pirates of the Caribbean 2, which the kids have seen multiple times but I hadn't yet.
The sound system is definitely sub-par, but that's because I haven't gone and gotten the wire I need to hook up the rear speakers, and the room rings like a bell due to no sound deadening, and the furnace is 5 feet away and the wall between it and the room is still open because that's where the equipment rack is going and I didn't want to box in the back until I'm done there. Even then it's a capable but still old (probably 15 years old) Dolby Pro Logic system (no digital) and the speakers are cheap ($100 center channel, $100 for the PAIR of monitors, and some ancient Minimus 7's for the rears). Ah well, it'll still probably be better than the majority of the "home theater in a box for $300" systems I see.
Even with all that, it's still great fun to watch movies there. We have hundreds of movies, and I can't figure out which one to watch next! L is on strike to not use the room until it's "finished" - she wants nice furniture, I want cheap folding papa-sans, so she may never think it's finished. She'll probably cave at some point, because I think she really wants to see LotR on it. I do too, but for that I'm going to wait until the sound system is better.
Hmm, maybe some Raiders of the Lost Ark tonight... or maybe Men in Black. Too many choices.
