I heard sandhill cranes while at the dump today, down in the swamp to the north. I assume they know what they're doing but I bet they don't appreciate the freezing rain and sleet we're having now.

We saw a pair near Bradley / Gun Lake on Saturday night. They looked annoyed by the snow-covered cornfield, but that might just be my interpretation. I'm certainly annoyed.
