- Todd Johnson - Wow. The stuff on Thingiverse makes my head spin!
- John Ridley - +Todd Johnson Yes, it's now a site I visit at least daily and click on "new things" - I still haven't worked my way backwards through all 10000 things up there.
I download OpenSCAD files from there to learn how they were programmed too even if I don't build the object. - Chris Drummonds - I actually started thinking about your machine today when I thought "I could redesign the broken part for my carpet steamer in about 20 minutes and print one if I had..."
- John Ridley - Yeah, there are a number of replacements for broken parts up on thingiverse. There's a Dyson vacuum bit that I remember seeing, and my first real print was a replacement for my tent leg. There are oven knobs and bits out of a car's power window mechanism, etc. Either stuff that is unavailable anymore, or in cases like the power window, a little plastic bit that's not available separately anymore and they want you to buy a $350 power window complete mechanism to replace the 50 cent plastic bit.
