Windows re-install

johnridleyI've been having a bit of trouble for a couple of days, my PC would have significant trouble when I was in Windows explorer. I found WE was taking up a ton of CPU, so I installed MalwareBytes and found it complaining about a "malware website" being hit from a temporary Ruby.exe install.
I really didn't feel like doing a ton of spelunking looking for malware, and besides my install has gotten kind of messy over the last few months, so I just re-installed Win7.
The problems are gone, but it turns out the complaints were from my paid VPN client, so it's possible I didn't actually have any malware. If I did this would be the first time, and I didn't find any actual smoking guns, just some irritating behavior. I just excluded the VPN client warnings on MWB and got on with it.
