★★★★☆
Really different science fiction. As with the first book in this story, it was very interesting reading. I have heard people say that the start of the first book was rough going for them. This one has none of that. I enjoyed it, the only tiny complaint I have is that I'm used to more chapters, it makes the book a bit easier to get through, but that's a minor quibble.
The book did end rather abruptly, but it did kind of make sense for the story.
