Crazy bike tricks take 2

johnridleyA while back I posted about a guy who's taking 3 years out to ride around the world. RMK was of the opinion that he wasn't in possession of a full set of marbles.
I've read the journal to date (96 days so far, he's laid over in SF for December) and he seems pretty level-headed.
OTOH, try this one:

The self-portrait may say it all:
This guy breaks an arm or leg on this deathtrap on what seems like a yearly basis, all while safely around home in the U.K. Just the device to use on a round-the-world trip. Hopefully it's true that most accidents occur near home...
Nope, just into the journal a few pages, he does a header in Turkey, and picks up a black mark on his pith helmet from where a lorry nearly crushed his head.
Though honestly, since the purpose of a bike trip is usually twofold; to find yourself in solitude and to meet new people, I can't imagine a much better way to do the latter than to do the trip on such a bike.
