Disabling damn SNAP on LJ

Someone asked about this a while back and I don't remember if there was a valid response or not.

To disable the idiotic Snap web page previews on links, go to Viewing Options and uncheck "Enable graphic previews on external links within your journal".
Whew, that's better.

If you hover your mouse over a link in someone's post, it gives you a totally useless popup mini-preview of the site. I honestly don't have a clue what they're supposed to be good for. They're far too small to read.

I found them annoying at first, but now I use them to decide if I want to click on the link. They're quite the time saver for me.
