johnridleyWell I though I was golden for the last project I have to finish at work, but when I tried it turned out that the state in question is using very old tech (2007 vintage) and the new .NET Core won't talk to it. I found a few articles and struggled with it a bit but in my testing I found that I could get a good sample captured, and am now just coding it up in Perl the old fashioned way. I just need it to work.
I did succumb to one black Friday sale - a really nice digital wireless lavalier microphone system that I've had on my watch list went down from $150 to $120 so I grabbed it. It just showed up today and it seems as good as I'd hoped. I tried it with both of my audio recorders and it works fine there, but doesn't like my action camera. Probable that it's just the adapter. I've had so much trouble with USB C adapters not getting along with line-level stuff. I just grabbed another one that promises to work well with line level and specifically with wireless microphones.
