It sort of looks like Dinotte Lighting puts their bike lights on sale only for early risers. I bought a taillight from them at 6:30 yesterday morning, and it was off sale by 9AM. It was on sale again this morning at 7AM, and now it's off again. So I guess if you want one, get up a little early and save $30.

For that price you could almost get an Italian craftsman to hand turn one in lexan. For a bit more, it could have sound effects.

Well, it does look like something he might put out:

but as far as building something nice like that, waterproof, shockproof, with a 3 watt LED driver and multimode driver circuitry, I don't think it's happening on a one-off basis for anything like $100. I'd be embarassed to ask him to make anything of the sort for less than $500 or so.
