New computer
Aug. 2nd, 2006 07:16 pmI've been thinking about it for a while, it's kind of a pain using a laptop, particularly an old one that needs add-in cards to get it up to speed, as a main machine.
Anyway, this morning I went to newegg and priced out some stuff, then went to CompUSA's site and determined that I can just go buy a machine for cheaper than I can build one.
So I have a Compaq with an AMD Athlon 64 CPU.
The biggest problem is the couple of hours it took me to remove the shovelware from the machine before I could start installing my own stuff. I was pleased that it had several interesting looking games until I realized that all of them are 60 minute demos, $9.95 to buy. Delete.
