The last few days has been 2 days of power outage plus more than that of internet going up and down. I'm not sure why but the internet would be up for a few hours then down for a while, up to 12 hours or so at a time.
The solar and batteries make the power outage a complete non-issue, there's just a few seconds while it switches to battery then it's life pretty much as normal. The internet being out is much more irritating.
Friday through the night we got about 11 inches of snow. Saturday it got into the 40s, I cleared the driveway even though I could probably have just left it to melt. Sunday was a Livingston concert which I think went very well, they're upping their levels and doing more complex stuff.
The next FCB concert in 2 weeks is going to be different, I'm going to be experimenting with different microphone placement to get away from blocking the view with my microphone stands. They are doing a piece which is advertised on the composer's site and have taken a lot of pre-sale tickets, so I'd like to not be blocking the view of potentially long time new attendees, and there will be projected media which I don't want to interfere with either. I will probably go to stage rehearsal to fiddle with my setup.
I need to get back on the trainer, it's been impossible with the internet down.
