Just randomness

The last week or so I've been researching what it means to own a truck, ordering add-ons (which are mostly waiting until the spray-in bed liner goes in on Thursday, which will trigger a cascade of accessory installations) and watching videos on maintenance procedures that I never had to do with cars (differential and transfer fluid changes, that sort of thing).

The big job in there is spraying on Surface Shield undercoating, which will take some time but hopefully not be a huge deal. Once that's on the wheel well liners can go on. The tonneau cover goes on at some point too, as does the bed extender, which I think will mainly be used as a bed reducer - to make a smaller space in front of the tailgate to keep things from crashing around.

I'm preparing for two trips, one to help T move from Ohio to Illinois, which is a day or two trip. The other is the major one, which is to go to Minneapolis to help a friend put a roof on her house (or maybe help her BY putting a roof on her house - she's still employed so may be limited on time. She's definitely going to be the one picking up debris from the lawn and getting it into the skip though :)

On the way I'm taking a bunch of stuff from SE MI and higher up to the Keweenaw, and taking a day up there to drive around leaf peeping.
