Lost & found

johnridleyI found a wallet by the roadside for the first time today. Really odd since it was out on a rural road in the middle of nowhere; you would only be on that road if you were going to some local house, or if you were lost.
Opened it up enough to find the driver's license, saw that the owner was a woman from Toledo, which is 70 miles away. I had thought it would almost certainly be a local since the road goes nowhere on the way to anywhere. I didn't rifle through it but it looked like it had some cash and a lot of credit cards and such in it.
I dropped it by the cop shop on my way through town a few minutes later. That station is normally unmanned. There was a woman inside cleaning, she let me in, we wrote down some info and left it on the desk for the next officer that checked in to work on.
